Sarah’s insatiable desire to travel, to not just see the world, but hear people’s stories and learn. This has led her to the most perfect career choice to make that happen.
She has a Masters in Media and Communications (broadcasting & digital content), has completed many presenting and content producing courses, a short course in Meteorology at BOM Melbourne, and has a Grad Dip of Arts in Radio Broadcasting.
Having lived and worked all around the world, and more than a decade in media and entertainment, Sarah’s presenting career started in 2009 with her first role being for Mt Buller as the Channel Seven Melbourne Mt Buller Snow Reporter for the Thursday night news with David Brown. This position also Included being the Online Snow Reporter/Presenter for the mtbuller.com.au website, and the Radio Snow Reporter/Presenter for EDGE FM, 3NE, STAR FM and 3SR. A dream role after having spent seven snow seasons working as a Snowboard Coach/Instructor, retail assistant, barista, bar attendant, and lift attendant.
Since then Sarah has done many presenting roles covering many topics and mediums, they include;
- TV Traffic Reporter for Sunrise on 7, and Seven Afternoon News Melbourne for over 6 years. On occasion for Ten News at 5pm, The Today Show on 9, and 9 News Melbourne.
- Online Presenting for Websites, Corporate, Informational, Promotional, Product, Instructional, or Educational videos for many clients and production companies around Australia and America.
- Entertainment Reporting for many brands for new release movies, red carpets, entertainment segments, and much more.
With Sarah's interest in entertainment and pop culture, she has interviewed stars on the red carpet for Yahoo7 at film launches including Hugo Weaving and Liam Hemsworth, and presented and produced reports for the ACE Radio Network.
In the 2018 and 2019 Australian snow seasons, Sarah returned to Mt Buller in a newly created role that had grown over the nine years since she first took it on back in 2009, and reprised the role of Mt Buller Snow Reporter, but this time including a TV Producing and Digital Content Producer/Co-ordinator role.
Putting the skills she has gained over more than ten years in media to good use in areas of; TV & radio producing, digital content producing (video/audio/photography - capture and editing), presenting, voice-over, creative writing, scriptwriting, and many more. This role has been a dream come true incorporating the skills of seven different mediums, plus travel, the snow, and living in the mountains with amazing people.
On a daily basis, Sarah would divide her time between, producing and presenting the weather/snow conditions for SKY News, Prime 7, the Today Show on 9, the Mt Buller website, and International Ski TV. In addition to creating and managing content for the Mt Buller website and social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram) for her digital content producer/coordinator role. Busy, but fun!
Sarah loves the opportunity to travel and is happy to go wherever her work takes her, she has covered all her favourite topics of travel, weather, snow, sport, fashion, movies, entertainment, news, events, and lifestyle. Works scripted or unscripted, is proficient at auto-cue or off the cuff, able to work with kids and animals on screen, and is flexible and open to change on set.
